Home Hub ("the App") is a household management application that helps you and your household members organize tasks, meals, groceries, and calendar events. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Google Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store the following from your Google account:

• Your name and display name
• Your email address
• Your profile picture

Google Calendar Data

If you connect your Google Calendar, we access your calendar events to display them within the App. Specifically, we request access to:

• Read calendar data — to display your upcoming events on the dashboard and calendar view
• Create and modify events — to allow you to create, edit, and delete calendar events directly from the App

Calendar data is fetched in real time from Google's servers and is not permanently stored in our database. We store an OAuth refresh token to maintain your calendar connection.

App Data

Data you create within the App is stored in our database, including:

• Household information and membership
• Tasks and their assignments
• Meal plans and recipes
• Grocery lists

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the App's functionality:

• Authenticating you and managing your session
• Displaying your calendar events within the App
• Managing household tasks, meals, and groceries
• Associating you with your household members

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or analytics purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secure infrastructure. Authentication tokens are encrypted and stored securely. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting the App administrator. Upon deletion:

• Your account and profile information will be removed
• Your Google OAuth tokens will be revoked and deleted
• Your household data (tasks, meals, etc.) will be removed if you are the last member of the household

You can also revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google OAuth — for authentication (governed by Google's Privacy Policy)
• Google Calendar API — for calendar integration (governed by Google API Services User Data Policy)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
